A useful Barossa comparison starts with Angaston, Nuriootpa and Tanunda. Choose a town that fits your day, then check a named venue. A regional search result alone cannot tell you the current machines, opening hours or room access.
A shortlist with distinct locations
| Town | Venue | Location | Published facilities |

| Angaston | Angaston Hotel | 59 Murray Street | Dining, accommodation, gaming and TAB |
| Angaston | Barossa Brauhaus Hotel | 41 Murray Street | Dining, bars, gaming and TAB |
| Nuriootpa | Vine Inn Barossa | 14–22 Murray Street | Accommodation, dining, bar and gaming lounge |
| Tanunda | The Clubhouse / Tanunda Club | 45 MacDonnell Street | Dining, accommodation and gaming |
| Tanunda | Tanunda Hotel | Murray Street | Front bar, dining, TAB and gaming room |
These are service-based comparisons, not payout rankings. A title’s presence on a manufacturer’s website does not prove it is installed at any of these venues.
Angaston: keep the street numbers separate
The two named Angaston hotels are on Murray Street but are separate businesses. Our town guide compares them directly. If a map pin or search snippet shows the wrong number, use the address on the business’s official information before making a booking.
Nuriootpa: combine a venue visit with accommodation
Vine Inn publishes both accommodation and gaming-lounge information. Its accommodation options are useful to compare when the visit also involves an overnight stay. Ask which property or room category the booking covers and whether it is at the same location as the dining or gaming facilities you intend to use.
Tanunda: a club and a hotel are different choices
The Clubhouse on MacDonnell Street and Tanunda Hotel on Murray Street should not be treated as alternate names for one venue. Check any club entry arrangements with The Clubhouse, and use each venue’s own dining information to plan a meal. A gaming room’s hours may differ from kitchen service.
Compare services before making a detour
Make a short list of three things you actually need: for example, dinner service, step-free access and transport home. Phone the venue about those requirements. If the purpose is a specific game, add the full game name to the enquiry; a broad question about “the newest pokies” is harder to answer accurately.
Greenock, Lyndoch, Eden Valley, Springton, Seppeltsfield, Kapunda, Williamstown and Mount Pleasant are different destinations around or beyond the region. We have not turned every town name into a venue claim. If your day takes you there, identify the actual business first and confirm its current facilities.
Getting between towns
Check LinkSA’s current timetables for the Gawler–Barossa connection and our Angaston travel guide for the planning steps. Do not assume an evening return service matches a venue’s closing time.
